Low Carbon Australia Limited has been established by the Australian Government as an independent company with over $100 million initial funding.
Low Carbon Australia provides financial solutions and advice to Australian business, government and the wider community to encourage action on energy efficiency, cost-effective carbon reductions, and accreditation for carbon neutral products and organisations.
We work collaboratively in consultation with business, industry and public sector organisations, to develop, co-design and co-deliver energy efficiency finance solutions to facilitate the transition to a low carbon economy.
As part of its clean energy future plan, the Australian Government is providing assistance in the form of competitive grants under the Clean Energy Technology Program. These grants are available to help businesses and manufacturers invest in energy efficiency and realise the benefits of reduced energy costs.
Low Carbon Australia can help industry meet the cost of energy efficiency projects by offering pre-approved finance to support grant bids for the Government's Clean Technology Program.
As part of its Community Energy Efficiency Program (CEEP) , the Australian Government is also providing grant assistance to help local councils invest in energy efficiency.
Low Carbon Australia is able to assist councils by providing energy efficiency finance to supplement CEEP grants so that the entire cost to council of implementing an energy efficiency project is covered.

Carbon Neutral Program
Low Carbon Australia’s Carbon Neutral Program administers the certification of products or business operations as carbon neutral under the Australian Government’s National Carbon Offset Standard (NCOS).
