Low Carbon Australia develops climate and decarbonisation strategy within and across sectors, working with government, industry, not-for-profits and philanthropy.

Addressing climate change takes more than low carbon technology. If technology alone were the answer, the world would be on track to hold global warming below 1.5°C, but we are falling well short.

Real progress needs national, state, corporate and community action working together. Deciding what happens next means bringing together the expertise, experience and ideas of people who don’t always share information and ideas – government and industry, technical specialists, not-for-profits, philanthropy and community stakeholders.

This is what Low Carbon Australia does: We develop and lead greenhouse gas emissions reduction, climate and decarbonisation strategy, policy and programs by working within and across sectors and stakeholder types. Our work has spanned renewable energy, green hydrogen, carbon farming, green iron and steel, heavy industry decarbonisation across Western Australia, Australia and the Asia Pacific region, but the common thread isn’t the sector, it’s the process of bringing multiple stakeholders to a shared, workable strategy.

Our toolkit includes research, stakeholder workshops, one-on-one interviews, and deep relationships across our region and globally, built and maintained over decades.
